A couple of weeks ago, I came to Verona to begin an internship at L’italiano con noi, we were told ahead of time that we were to do a two week course to learn a bit of the Italian language. I wasn’t entirely certain about what this would be like, especially since it was my first time abroad without family. The teacher, Giulia was an absolute sweetheart and Giorgia truly made me feel at ease, I learned so much more than I thought I would learn and I feel like I mostly understand the language. I’m still in Verona to complete my internship here at the school until the end of April and am looking forward to learning how to speak the language better as well. Languages intrigue me and I find it exciting to continue to study one as beautiful as the Italian language I have come to love. I am sure that with Giorgia’s enthusiasm and help, I will be able to learn much more even if I am here for only a short period of time. She is doing a wonderful job at teaching and running the school and makes it feel like a safe, educational place to be. She’s an inspiration who has told me to just continue following my dreams, no matter how long it takes or how old I am. She’s a wonderful person and I hope to be able to one day come back and be able to have a proper conversation with her in Italian!

I spent two weeks this summer at Italiano Con Noi and can recommend the school for its friendliness and welcoming teachers. The lessons were fun but thorough, and the afternoon ‘walk and talk’ activities with Davide were a great way to put Italian into practice while exploring the city. Giorgia is an empathic and clear teacher and I came away from my stay at the school with far more confidence to use my Italian language.
Verona is a beautiful city with many thing to see and do, and is a good base for exploring the Veneto region.

I spent two weeks in April at l’Italiano con noi and could not have chosen a better school to refresh and expand my knowledge of Italian language and culture. I had exchanged a few emails with the director, Dr. Giorgia Ginelli, prior to my coming, and knew already she was that rare person who takes a deep individual interest in the needs and wellbeing of her students. This proved to be true: I can still remember the lovely smile and warm welcome with which I was greeted every morning by her and my teacher Federico. Both are very accessible, friendly, and inspire you to do your best. They put great emphasis on teaching according to the students’ needs and expectations.
I had the good fortune of being in a very small group (some students were away on vacation), which made for a highly individualized instruction. As a retired professor of French at an American university I know the difficulties of integrating the study of a language with the country’s culture, especially when students are at different levels. I appreciated the dedication and expertise of Federico, who managed to have us review the difficult idioms and subtle points of Italian grammar (especially the subjunctive!) through challenging dialogues and interesting discussions of broad themes such as la comicità or la maffia. He always brought new material to class, had us watch and discuss videos, clips, and texts, and do some role-play and games. The mornings passed all-too quickly. I could not attend the afternoon activities, but I know that students were very pleased with historical walks around town, art history, cinema or cooking classes. The classrooms are nice, bright, with large windows on a small calm street just one minute away from Piazza Erbe.
I should add that Giorgia went beyond the call of duty to help me find an excellent apartment in town, ten minutes away walking distance from the school. In fact, I became friends with my landlady and we correspond to this day. I also chose Verona because it is a beautiful town, in which it is a pleasure to roam about or walk along the Adige. Also because of its centrality and closeness to other great cities of the Veneto. Italian trains are frequent, fast, clean, and cheap (take the Regionale veloce, not the more expensive Frecciabianca, for Vicenza, Padova, Venezia, Mantova and Modena: you’ll be amazed at what you can see in one weekend, even one afternoon!). L’Italiano con noi became my second home when I was in Verona. I hope to come back to that excellent and friendly school and then stay for a longer time.

‘L’italiano con noi’ was recommended to me by a friend who had been there last year. I had already researched language schools in Italy, so I had a good idea about locations, prices, etc. The school’s website convinced me, as the school offers good value for money, and the school organises a lot of activities you can do in the afternoons.
Giorgia organised my accommodation with an Italian family, and I was very lucky because they treated me like a member of the family; they helped me organise my weekend trips, took me to events in town, and of course, the food was delicious! Thanks for that, Giorgia.
But, I didn’t come just for the food or the beautiful city, I came to Verona to learn Italian. And I did l learn a lot. But the good thing was, it didn’t feel like a lesson in school: no boring grammar, but lots of conversations, and a lot of personal attention. Giorgia is a great teacher, and a lovely person, too. Many students come back to Giorgia, or come and then decide to stay longer – and I am not surprised. I also plan to come back and improve my Italian with Giorgia when time and money allow.

Studying with the experienced teachers and friendly classmates at L’italiano con noi was nothing but fun and educational! I learned so much during the 12 weeks I attended the school, both with day-courses in a lovely group, as well as in the afternoon-courses with Giorgia. I had a goal to complete the CILS exam before leaving. The motivation was never an issue with such encouraging friends in the class and a teacher that knows exactly how to achieve the best results.
I would also like to recommend Verona as a perfect place to study the italian language for everyone who seeks a town where everything is close together and where you can meet the charming italian culture in every little street of the centro storico.
Living and studying in Verona was an amazing experience that I will never forget!

I attended one week’s language course in September 2014, including afternoon classes learning about the opera Madame Butterfly by a professional musician, and experiencing this opera one evening in the open theater. It was just all very professional and friendly! The language test performed the first day secured an optimal teaching. I would recommend the school “l’italiano con noi” to all my friends, whatever level of language.

I learned at Italiano con noi for two weeks in 2014 and stayed in accommodation that Giorgia, my teacher, had suggested. The result was that I made friends with my landlady and was so impressed with the language course that I decided to return in 2015. Myself a foreign language teacher I am hard to please and Giorgia managed the rare feat of teaching me the basic grammar I needed in the mornings and taking me on intellectual and factual excursions through Italian history in the afternoons. She gave me the security and at the same time the challenge I was looking for and the language course of my dreams.I am already looking forward to my next stay. Verona offers so much to see and do and is so well situated within reach of many interesting destinations that you can go there again and again – all the more with the friendly welcome you will get from Giorgia and her colleagues.

Im studying Italian at the University of Munich. For improving my conversation skills I decided to spend 3 weeks in Verona. Searching for a appropiate language course my professor suggested the school L’italiano con noi.
I can totally recommend this school. It’s well located in den heart of Verona near Piazza delle Erbe, the classes are small, the courses are highly intensive and the teachers are proficient and very friendly. Because of the small class i could improve my communication, my grammar and my vocabulary. Beside the courses the teachers offer other activities (f.e. guided tours in Italian through Verona) in the afternoon. If you wish some tips for activities (Bar restaurant, Trips in the perfider ) Giorgia and her team will also help you very friendly.

Stavi passando un bel tempo a Verona con voi!

My children are very young (7 and 10 y.o.), but showed interest in learning a third language. So, me and my wife decided to spend two weeks in Italy, while they where getting started in Italian. We chose “L’Italiano con noi” because of the attention we got since our first e-mail contact. Every concern you have, they will promptly help you with. They are patient with kids, respecting their wishes, and also stimulating them to communicate, express themselves, but also having fun of it. Also, the city is lovely, people are always nice, and Veneto is a wonderful region. When I got home and finally found an Italian teacher where I live, she couldn’t believe they have studied Italian not more than two weeks. And now, when I asked my sons what do they want to do in our next vacation, they said “We want to go the the same Italian school again, stay in the same house, and have classes with the same teacher.”

In the summer of 2014 I joined L’Italiano Con Noi for private lessons. Without any exaggeration this is the best language school I’ve been to. Giorgia is highly qualified and very dedicated, a very pleasant instructor, with a high level of culture and education that makes her lessons so much more interesting. Learning with her was a real pleasure. Verona is a lovely city, and although I only spent a short time there I feel that I have made friends for life. I certainly plan on coming back.

Hello Giorgia it has been a fantastic time with you at your school “L’Italiano con noi”. It’s incredible how much I learned in a few weeks. You explained the grammar very clearly and you managed to create a very pleasant atmosphere. Only after short time I was able to talk nearly about everything with my Italian friends.‬ I’ve been very impressed by the school, its location, the teachers, the structure of the material and the ability to address each person individually.‬ Thanks a lot for all!‬

I have had a desire for a long time to learn another language. So when I‬ had a break from work it was an opportunity to fulfil my goal. The choice‬ of Verona provided the perfect setting – a historical cultural centre with‬ so much to do and enjoy. The language course run by Giorgia exceeded all my‬ expectations. The days were varied and tailored to our specific needs.‬ Giorgia’s teaching style enabled different learning styles and capabilities‬ to be met. The approach to teaching was professional and provided me‬ with a base and the inspiration to continue to learn back in Australia.‬ Giorgia’s qualifications shone through in her approach to‬ teaching and her patient personality ensured that we learnt a lot and that‬ it was always fun. I spent one month with “L’Italiano con noi” and I can say just the best about this school and even more about the teachers. I learned more than I expected about Italian language and culture, about Italian habits and about the territory of this country. At the same time I had a really good time here. Teachers are committed, inspiring and friendly. I wish the best for you guys and hope to see you soon (I wrote down your phone number for the next time I’m in Verona!) See you soon!

For me, “L’italiano con noi” is learning in a fun and dynamic way, in a very nice environment, surrounded by dedicated, friendly and amazing people and teachers willing to help in any way they can. It’s not only about learning the language, it’s about getting to know their culture and habits. It’s an unforgettable experience.

Last year I started training for CILS certificate, then I took some individual classes at “L’italiano con noi” in Verona. Located close to Piazza delle Erbe and surrounded by restaurants and bars, the school is a welcoming place where you can breathe real Italian atmosphere. The teachers focus on communicative competence and are keen to build a good relationship with students. Thanks to them I think I better understood not just Italian language but also Italian attitude. Not to be missed the wine course with Caterina at “Osteria la Mandorla”, a traditional wine bar where you can find quality wine from local productions. This way, I never got bored, not even a minute!
